Marjane Satrapi
Marjane Satrapi er en iransk tegner, skribent og aktivist, bosat i Paris. Satrapis tegneseriekarriere startede i 2000, hvor hun fik udgivet første bind af Persepolis på det franske forlag L'Association. Det var en selvbiografisk historie om Satrapis egen opvækst under den islamiske revolution i Iran, hendes eksil i Østrig og tilbagevenden til det fundamentalistiske Iran. Persepolis blev afsluttet med fjerde bind i 2003. Siden har hun lavet flere roste tegneserier, hvoraf nogle, Broderier (2003) og Kylling med blommer (2004), også har fundet vej til dansk. På dansk blev Marjane Satrapi udgivet af Carlsen, der i 2005 brugte Persepolis til at introducere deres nye linje af grafiske romaner sammen med Jason Lutes' Berlin.
